Summary, etc Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of year. But by the morning there is one less passenger. An American lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside Red herrings galore are put in the path of Hercule Poirot to try and keep him off the scent but in a dramatic dénouement he succeeds in coming up with not one, but two solutions to the crime.
