Record of Service: Canadian Contributions to International Peace and Security explores Canadian military contributions to the global community through 15 testimonies from Canadian veterans of the Second World War, Korean War, Cold War, peace missions and the war in Afghanistan. This resource encourages students and the public to reflect on how international engagements have shaped individual experiences and Canadian identity, as well as examine the legacies of these events and conflicts. This series also offers teachers the opportunity to present oral history as a valuable source and incorporate firsthand accounts into classroom activities and discussions.
