It's ten years later that this book takes place. Trish Camden and John Freeman get married. Josie and Paul are married and expecting their first child. Trish is a lawyer and John is a teacher at Queen Charlotte Intermediate School. The Camden Mystery Club is reduced to four members as Charlie, an RCMP officer, and his wife, Julie, live in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Trish and John volunteer to put on a murder mystery musical during the school year a Queen Charlotte. One of the cast members is murdered for real. The CMC come together to work at solving the crime.
